ImpactLearn What Your Impact Feels Like

Learning this one feeling is something every golfer needs to work on during every practice session.  This feeling is different for everyone.  Why?  Because we’re all different.  We’ve got different life experiences.  We’ve got different physical capabilities.  But all that doesn’t matter as long as we become intimately familiar with what is correct or consistent to us.   I think I’ve talked ad nauseam about repetition.  What do we need to be able to repeat?  Impact!  It is really the only thing that the golf ball cares about.
The young fella in the picture above has one of the better impact positions I’ve seen in quite a long while.  Look at the strength and straightness in his left wrist.    The shaft of the golf club is lining up with his left arm.  He’s coming off his right foot and his hips are clearing.  Last, but not least, look at that head position.  He’s looking right down the shaft at the ball.   To quote that Orbitz guy on television, “This is important stuff we’re working on!”
