The 2009 -2010 Winter Golf Program

 

The Professional Practice Center is Here! And with it comes a whole new era in golf instruction for the Christensen Golf Academy. 

 

    The winter offers a fantastic opportunity to make overall improvements in your golf game.  You can practice without the pressure of having to put up a score.  And since Repetition is the Mother of Learning, the winter time offers a chance to an unbelievable number of repetitions

           

            “On Your Mark”  is a winter training program designed to give the golfer a get your golf swing and short game in order  Psychologists tell us that it takes at least 3 weeks to break an old habit and build a new one.  Frustration is often associated with the learning process, particularly when skill instruction requires simultaneous performance of the new skill.  Without immediate feedback and correction, learners can become frustrated and revert back to “what is comfortable,” rather than “what is right”.

 

            “On Your Mark” will concentrate on building the skills, which are so difficult to perfect while competing.  “On Your Mark” will build a golf swing during the winter that can be used in the summer.

 

            Students will have access to video swing analysis.  My computer software from Swing View Pro enables me to communicate changes and ideas in a more efficient manner.

 

Classes Begin on November 30.  Classes may be available every day.  They will be offered from.

 

2:30-3:30

3:30- 4:30

4:30 -5:30

5:30- 6:30

6:30 –7:30

 

Class sizes are limited to 4.  You can have a permanent time in a class or you can come when your schedule allows.  It is designed to be ultimately flexible.  Come as often as you want.  You will essentially create a group golf lesson account.  Pricing is as follows:

 

Drop in for a Visit:    Adults  $40.  Juniors Golfers (17 and Under)  $35  You pay as you go

 

Stay in the Groove:   adults $210   JUNIORS $180            Six sessions

 

This is Really Fun:    Adults   $300      Juniors $250                Ten Sessions

 

In Pro I Trust:              Adults   $500      Juniors  $400              Twenty Sessions

 

Adults may participate in the lessons at lunch program as well as the On Your Mark Winter Program.

 

You can have a permanent time slot or you can float from class to class.  Instruction will be individualized.  If you have a permanent slot and are unable to attend you are required to notify me by 8:00 am on the day of your lesson.  I will be sending out emails and or text messages indicating when there are class openings.  I will communicate in this same manner when classes are not being held.  Friday classes may be cancelled more often that other classes due to family and business commitments.
